It’s almost a no-brainer for him to be interested enough to click it. After all, you awakened his memories, piqued his curiosity, instilled a desire for him to give his children their own memories of the circus. Your ad got past the body guard.

The art of pre-selling creates anticipation and desire for the product you promote so when the reader sees your affiliate link, he thinks to himself, “oh my gosh, I was just thinking ‘where can I buy a ticket to the circus’, and suddenly there’s a link!” Click. You just increased the number of people who click your link. You just increased the probability of increasing your affiliate marketing commission.
